This year has been a year of great success in many areas of my personal and business life. On New Year’s Eve, my husband and I celebrated with friends and some we had never met in person before. This was a first for me as I had never been to a New Year Eve party let alone gone to a party with people I had never met before. Talk about a total thrill of excitement! This was a huge step for me on so many levels that required me to step outside of my comfort zone completely. I have opened up with a lot of my clients about my struggle with social anxiety. My amazing clients have been so kind with encouragement. The struggles of this has made growing a business difficult at times, but it has open my eyes to a much bigger adventure than I had ever imagined for myself.
In 2016 I was able to grow my business not only in the state of Virginia but New York State as well. What a dream it has been to work with clients outside of Virginia and continue to do what I love. This adventure has allowed me to learn about opening up and put myself out there which isn’t always easy. Since doing so, I have been able to accomplish a lot, and I am so happy that I decided to take a leap of faith and jump rather than stay within the same old box I had been inside for years. In February my husband and I set out to find a new home as we have started to outgrow our current home. This adventure came with a few let downs, disappointments, tears and a lot of stress. So you can understand the excitement I felt when we finally got an offer on our current house. The journey has been one that has tested our marriage, my own faith and has reconnected my heart with God. I am so very excited to share that Black Lace Boudoir will have a BRAND NEW STUDIO in our new home!!!!!! The excitement cannot be express through words but I promise if you have worked with me in the past you know how much this means to me and my family! I hope you will be willing to join us for our open house party in July!
